To strengthen our Department of Water and Sanitation Engineering in the Middle East, we are seeking an engineer (f/m/d) with experience in the design and implementation of water and wastewater (W&WW) infrastructure, with additional experience in the management of companies/organizations providing the service.
Main Duties in this Position Include
- Coordination and monitoring of project implementation (backstopping)
- Financial & contract management
- Quality control
- Preparation of tenders and proposals
- Participation in project implementation, in line with your experience
Experience / Profile Required
- Academic qualification (MSc. or equivalent) in Civil, Sanitary, or Environmental Engineering
- Five (5) years of work experience in water and sanitation projects
- Fluent language skills (oral and written) in English and Arabic
Ideally, candidates will have experience in the following areas:
- Experience in the implementation of projects financed by development banks
- Experience in the design, tendering and/or supervision of works of water supply or sewerage networks, water treatment, wastewater treatment plant, storm drainage or similar
- Experience in the management of water and wastewater (W&WW) services (reduction of non-revenue water, operation and maintenance of infrastructure, reuse of treated wastewater, etc.)
- Work experience in the Middle East
- Work experience in Germany
