2010:
The Ministry of
Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan entrusted GITEC and a local
partner company with the project "Sustainable pasture, arable and forest
land management". The project is financed by the Asian Development Bank.
The services commenced early August. |

July 2010:
The International Union
for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) awarded a contract to GITEC and their
local partner firm for assessemt of groundwater in the tanzanian Pangani
river basin. The consulting services have commenced. |

June 2010:
GITEC has been awarded
with the GTZ funded programme of the improvement of the blood
transfusion system in India. This is an ongoing programme since 2008,
and intends to supply quality and safe blood and blood products in order
to ensure that the population in need has universal access whenever
required. |

January 2010:
The Government of South
Sudan represented by the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation
requested assistance for the design, planning, financing and
implementation of rehabilitation and extension works of existing water
supply systems in the state capitals of South Sudan with an immediate
priority to the town of Yei. It was decided to prepare a feasibility
study for the establishment of a water supply and sanitation systems,
based on a poverty oriented phased approach.
The objective of the
feasibility study is to develop a technical and managerial concept for
improving the water supply and sanitation situation in a sustainable way
for the entire population of Yei, South Soudan. The concept proposes a
stepwise implementation approach. The first phase of the implementation
pays particular attention to improving the situation in the areas with
the worst water and sanitation situation and with the most vulnerable
parts of the population. |

January / February 2010:
GITEC commenced
services for a project in Mali. In February new projects
in Mongolia and Syria will be started. |
